On foot

Sandford Lodge can be reached on foot from St Stephen’s Green in approximately 20 mins. Heading south from the Green, walk up Harcourt Street and take a right turn at the top. Take the next turn left onto Charlemont Street and continue straight onto Ranelagh Road. Keep walking straight through Ranelagh village until you come to Sandford Close. Turn right into Sandford Close. Sandford Lodge is on your right.

By car

From St Stephen’s Green, take York Street and turn left onto Redmond’s Hill heading for the R114. Stay on R114. Take a left turn onto Charlemont Street. Continue straight on to Ranelagh Road, and through Ranelagh village. Turn right onto Sandford Close. Sandford Lodge is on your right.

By bus

From the city centre, take one of the following Dublin Bus routes 11, 11a, 44 and 46 A.

By LUAS

Take the LUAS Green Line from St Stephen’s Green (terminus) heading in the direction Bride’s Glen. Ranelagh is the third stop on the line. Alight the LUAS and turn right onto Ranelagh Road. Walk straight through Ranelagh village, and take a right turn into Sandford Close. Sandford Lodge is on your right.

Take Exit/Junction 13 (R113) from the M50 towards Sandyford/Dundrum. At the roundabout take the 3^rd exit onto Drummartin Link Road. Continue onto Drummartin Road. Continue onto Goatstown Road (R112/R825). Continue onto Sandford Road (R117). Turn left into Sandford Close. Sandford Lodge is on your right.

Dublin Airport is 17.5km from Sandford Lodge. The AirCoach (Leopardstown route) provides a 24-hour coach service from Dublin Airport to the Leeson Street Lower Stop (15 minute walk away). Taxis are available outside the arrival hall at Dublin Airport.

Travelling by car from Dublin Airport:

Head southwest and turn left onto R132. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the M1 ramp to An Lár/City Centre. Merge onto M1 and continue onto M50. Continue straight onto East Wall Road/ R131, go through one roundabout and cross the river to the East Link toll bridge. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Sean Moore Road/R131, keeping right to stay on this road. Sean Moore Road/R131 turns slightly left and becomes Cranfield Place. Turn left onto Tritonville Road and at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Serpentine Ave. Turn right onto Merrion Road/R118. Turn left onto Herbert Park and continue straight onto Marlborough Road. Turn left onto Sandford Road/R117 and then turn right into Sandford Close. Sandford Lodge is on your right.
